Who are the people in the interviews?

Every person featured is a real Israeli (or lone Soldier) who served in the IDF. They come from a range of units: combat, support, intelligence, special forces, etc, and share their personal stories openly. Some are officers. Some are reservists. Some have seen combat, others trained thousands. But all of them have something powerful to say.

Is this political?

No. HonorBox is not affiliated with any political party, movement, or ideology inside or outside of Israel. We are unapologetically pro-Israel's right to defend herself, but our mission is about culture, identity, and understanding, not policy debates. You’ll hear personal truths, not talking points.

Where do you find these soldiers?

In Israel, everybody knows everybody. The IDF is our melting pot. We source stories through a trusted network of Israeli veterans, reservists, and unit associations. Many are referred directly by people we’ve already interviewed. Every participant is verified, briefed, and interviewed with respect and transparency. They speak voluntarily, not through an organization or political body.

Can I make a donation to a specific unit?

Yes. A portion of every membership helps support causes connected to the soldiers and units we feature. If you want to make an additional donation to a specific unit, reach out to us directly, we’ll help route it through the appropriate foundation or support organization.

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Membership is month-to-month or annual, and you can cancel anytime with no questions asked. We believe in this mission and we’re confident you’ll want to stay for the stories.

What languages will the interviews be in?

All interviews are in English or subtitled into English. When Hebrew is used (quotes, terms, or phrases), we provide translations and context. Our goal is to make Israeli culture and military life accessible, not lost in translation.

How many IDF units are there?

Accepted Answer

There are hundreds of active units across the IDF, including infantry, air force, intelligence, special operations, artillery, border defense, and more. Each has its own history, mission, and culture. HonorBox selects one unit per month to spotlight, so over time, you’ll build a deep understanding of how the army actually functions.
